Elbow Beach Capital injects another £1 million into Munro vehicles
Elbow Beach Capital has become the biggest investor in Munro Vehicles after the investor injected another £1m into the Scottish all-electric 4×4 vehicle manufacturer.
Russell Peterson is chief executive and co-founder.
The CAA has green lit Shetland’s SaxaVord paving the way to the first space launches in 2024 and the first location to become the UK’s first licensed spaceport for vertical rocket launches.

Digital post and shipping company, Stamp Free receives £1.08 million investment
Edinburgh-based Stamp Free which specialises in digital postage and shipping is to expand thanks to a £1.08 million investment from investors and supporters.

Dubai based investor acquires Mar Hall with £15m upgrade plan
Dubai-based Dutco Group has acquired Mar Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa Resort with support from Align Partners.
Five star Mar Hall is located in Bishopton and the new investment will develop the location into an International destination resort.
Multi-million pounds investment planned at Tomatin Distillery
The Inverness-shire Tomatin distillery is planning for a three-fold increase in visitors with plans for a multi-million pound investment in facilities.
New St Andrews 5-star hotel set to open
40 bedroomed Seaton House in St Andrews, formerly Scores Hotel is set to reopen next year after an extensive refurbishment after it was purchased by Valor Hospitality partners.
Euan McGlashan is co-founder and chief executive of Valor Hospitality Partners.
Crossbasket Castle to open after £15million expansion
Crossbasket Castle, on the outskirts of Glasgow and owned by Steve and Alison Timoney will reopen in summer 2024 after a £15m expansion.
A new 4-bedroom hotel, a destination restaurant and a lavish spa will be added.
Scottish company announces Chinese distillery project
Angus Dundee Distillers has announced that it will build a new whisky distillery and visitor’s experience in Chun’an, China.
Brian Megson is director of Angus Dundee Distillers and the firm owns Tomintoul and Glencadam distilleries.
Six by Nico parent confirms £3million investment
Six Company , the Glasgow-based business behind the Six by Nico restaurants has confirmed a £3m investment, which includes a new flagship Six by Nico location in Merchant City.
Nico Simeone is Six Company chief executive and founder.
The investment will also include Sole Club in Finnieston and a Byres Road cocktail bar called Somewhere by Nico.
Management buy-in at Scotwood Interiors
Chris Nugent will become the MD of Scotwood Interiors as current joint MDs Doug Kerr and Jim Scott step down. They will remain with the company as directors.
Paul Macdonald of Harper Macleod assisted with legal advise.
Plans submitted for new 142-bedroom Glasgow hotel
Plans for a new 142-bedroom hotel at the corner of Eastvale Place and Sandyford Street in Glasgow have been submitted by SWG3 and Stallan-Brand and should create more than 100 jobs.
Behind the project are Andrew Fleming-Brown and Andrew Mickel, founding partners of SWG3 with hotelier Bruce Robertson.
Aberdeen’s Centurion Group makes offshore wind acquisition
Aberdeen-based Centurion Group has acquired Netherlands-based H2M Offshore Accommodations making it five acquisitions in 2023 increasing revenue to about $745m.
Fernando Assing is chief executive of Centurion.
Recruitment firms merge
IT recruitments specialist Parity has merged with Pertemps Network Group.
Izzy Brown is MD of Parity Network.
Global Energy Group turnover climbs 21% to £273 million
Global Energy Group reports a 21% increase in turnover from £225m to £273m with earnings before tax rising from £11.4m to £21.5m.
The increase is driven by increased involvement in wind and nuclear energy projects.
